DEMS! Entire Seattle City Council Supports Sawant’s May Day Protest

Our on-going alerts, DEMS! (Distinctly Embarrassing Moments for Seattle!), highlight the many ways one-party Democrat rule in Seattle has hurt the reputation of the city and our state. Read on!

Seattle has plans for May Day protests and they want to make sure everybody suffers. Rich radical Socialist Kshama Sawant has convinced the Seattle City Council and Mayor to embrace the anti-Trump resistance.

They’re giving the city employees a day off, hoping they will protest the President by shutting down the freeways and even the airport! History proves these types of protests always turn violent, injuring police and innocent citizens while destroying property. City employees would be wise to stay home.

Can someone on the far left explain to the good citizens of the region, how these tactics accomplish ANY good for ANY cause?

May Day has its roots in Communism –100 years of oppressive regimes with 100 million deaths as testimony to its totalitarian ideology. Government sanction of anarchy and violence only adds to Seattle’s deteriorating reputation.

Shame on the Seattle City Council and Mayor Murray for being manipulated by Sawant and her band of Socialists (Communists)! How embarrassing for our great city.

Happy Earth Day!

Good Friday and Easter Sunday

WSRP Chairman Susan Hutchison sent out the following message on Friday April 14:

To all our friends celebrating Good Friday and Easter Sunday, we wish you a blessed holiday with family and friends.  As the Resurrection represents the victory of life over death, this year we are particularly mindful of those Christians around the world who are suffering persecution for their faith:

• In Egypt, where 45 Coptic Christians were killed in Islamic terrorist bombings on Palm Sunday, traditional festive Easter celebrations have been canceled.

• In Communist North Korea, many Christians are arrested and imprisoned in hard labor camps, where unknown numbers die from torture, beatings, and starvation.

• In Syria and the Middle East, ISIS has killed and captured Christians, forcing women and girls into slavery, torturing those who will not convert to Islam.

We yearn for and pray for a world where God’s justice and righteousness prevails.  Ultimately it will—That’s the promise of Easter.

“Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” – Matthew 5:10

Have you heard the news?

Exciting news!  Jinyoung Englund announced today that she is the GOP candidate for State Senate in the 45th Legislative District special election.  A Woodinville resident, Jinyoung is a graduate of the University of Washington, a tech entrepreneur, and the daughter of Korean immigrants.  Her husband is an active duty U.S. Marine officer with 17 years of service.

This seat was held by Andy Hill who tragically died last year of cancer.  Dino Rossi was appointed to serve during the current legislative session.  Now a Republican victory is essential to keep our 25-24 Republican majority in the State Senate. Otherwise, Jay Inslee and his Democrats will get the INCOME TAX they want!

Will you help us defeat the Democrats by donating $25, $50, $100, $200 or more to help us elect Jinyoung Englund and hold onto to the GOP majority in the State Senate?

Learn more about our awesome candidate on her website or on Facebook or on Twitter

Hutchison: The Media is Failing to Cover an Important Story….

Bellevue, April 6 – WSRP Chairman Susan Hutchison issued the following statement today:

“Many in the media have reported on the Republican members of our state’s congressional delegation and their town hall meetings.  But viewers, listeners and readers demand more balance and less bias.  There must be similar scrutiny of our state’s two Democrat Senators.  Neither Maria Cantwell nor Patty Murray has scheduled any town halls.

“Here’s a great topic for feature stories and editorials:

“Will Patty Murray and Maria Cantwell be providing an in-person explanation to their constituents about their attempt to filibuster the President’s nominee to the Supreme Court?  Will Murray and Cantwell meet the people face-to-face and take questions from the citizens of (for example) Benton, Cowlitz, Spokane, and Yakima Counties?  If not, why not?  What are Murray and Cantwell afraid of?  What are they hiding?  When was the last time they took questions at an open town hall meeting?

“Instead of the usual biased and one-sided reporting, perhaps we will see the same word count, the same number of headlines, and the same critical follow up questions when the Senators give thin excuses.”

Call Cantwell and Murray: Tell Them to Confirm Neil Gorsuch!

We need YOU to join thousands of others in states with Democrat obstructionist Senators to let your voices be heard in favor of confirming Judge Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court.

Please contact Maria Cantwell and Patty Murray now!  Tell them you oppose the Democrat Minority’s position of obstruction and filibuster.  Tell them to vote for cloture to prevent a filibuster.

Judge Gorsuch is eminently qualified to serve on the Supreme Court and deserves a vote.  During the hearing in the Senate Judiciary Committee, he exhibited his deep and complex knowledge of the Constitution as well as the proper judicial temperament to serve as a Supreme Court Justice.

Call Senators Cantwell and Murray, and tell them:

Respect the will of the voters!  No obstruction!  No filibuster!  Confirm Neil Gorsuch!

DEMS! “Bike sharing” scandal in Seattle!

Our on-going alerts, DEMS! (Distinctly Embarrassing Moments for Seattle!), highlight the many ways one-party Democrat rule in Seattle has hurt the reputation of the city and our state. Read on!

With $millions down the drain, and stained by an ethics violation, the city’s failed bike share program died a predictable death the night before April Fool’s.

The program, known as “Pronto,” was launched in October 2014, costing $4.4 million (including $1.75 million in state and federal taxpayers’ money).  From the start, there was fanfare and hype, with promises of widespread use of the bike sharing program — despite our hills and rainy weather.

When Pronto ridership proved to be far below projections, Transportation Director Scott Kubly urged the city to take over the program.  So the city council voted to buy Pronto, wasting another $1.4 million of the people’s money.  For a year, under city ownership, the program continued to fail.

Later it was revealed that Kubly, prior to being named Transportation Director, was president of the company that operated Pronto.  (Really?!  No one read his resume?!)  Kubly was found guilty of an ethics violation, and fined $10,000.  Of course, that’s just a drop in the bucket compared to the millions in taxpayer dollars wasted.  And Kubly still has his job.

Now, the Seattle DOT will spend the next two weeks dismantling the 54 bike sharing stations.  The program’s 500 bicycles?  They might be sold at a loss to another city, but so far, no takers.

How wasteful of taxpayer money!  How corrupt!  How typical of Democrat one-party rule in Seattle!  How embarrassing!
