BELLEVUE — The Washington State Republican Party (WSRP) released the following statement as Gov. Jay Inslee announced another change to his COVID-19 reopening plan by pausing all phased rollbacks for two weeks:

“As the rest of the country is opening back up, Washington is stuck in limbo. This latest change is just one more unilateral decision in a long line of goal post moving by Governor Inslee. To be clear, pausing Washington’s COVID-19 plan is still an arbitrary change and highlights Inslee’s failed leadership,” said WSRP Chairman Caleb Heimlich. “Democrats in the state legislature have refused to work on a bipartisan basis to reform the Emergency Powers Act and give the people a voice — Now it is up to the voters to hold Democrats accountable at the ballot box in 2022.”
