INSLEE IS INCOMPETENT
| BELLEVUE – Chairman Heimlich released the following statement after “hundreds of millions of dollars” was stolen from the state in a Nigerian scam. “In what seems like a story line straight out of a movie, Governor Inslee’s administration is once again forced to face their latest failure. The DOC released thousands of prisoners accidentally, Western State Hospital has been mismanaged for years resulting in the loss of $53 million in federal funding, 1,100 convicted criminals have been recently let back into our communities, and now this scandal: Scammed by a Nigerian fraud scheme costing the taxpayers ‘hundreds of millions of dollars‘ while claims for hardworking Washingtonians go unfulfilled and unemployment numbers hit record highs. No other state was susceptible to this level of fraud. Inslee and his hand-picked department heads continually mismanage our state. All of these failures are Inslee’s to own. There is only one word to describe the Inslee administration: incompetent. The people of our great state deserve a chief executive that can lead, yet we continue to see Inslee mismanage everything from our state’s public safety to our finances. Governor Inslee has been focused on his national political ambitions, running for President and governing by phone, making multiple appearance on CNN and MSNBC, and the people of Washington State have suffered under his utterly embarrassing management. This is truly a disgrace. Come November, Washingtonians have a clear choice: another four years of incompetent Inslee or we can elect a Republican Governor that will clean up our state.” |
