WSRP Field Canvasser Job Description
Term: June 2022 – November 2022
Pay: $1,000 – $2,500/month
Time Commitment: 15 – 40 hours a week
Reports to: WSRP Field Director and WSRP State Director

Position Summary
The Washington State Republican Party (WSRP) is seeking to hire Field Canvasser’s to execute the WSRPs field strategy in the 2022 campaign cycle. Field staff play an important role in our strategic plan to elect Republicans at the state and federal levels in Washington State. Field
Canvassers are integral to the success of our voter contact efforts through door-knocking and phone-banking.
The Field Canvasser will be a staff member of the Washington State Republican Party whose focus will be hitting key voter contact metrics through the WSRP’s door-knocking and phone banking programs. Field Canvassers will also help the Regional Field Director engage with grassroots activists in their area through door-knocking and phone-banking events. The Field Canvasser will receive training from WSRP staff on how to effectively make voter contacts at the door and on the phone, use important voter data, engage with volunteers, and execute our
Get Out the Vote (GOTV) program to maximize Republican turnout.
Responsibilities include:
– Identify and engage directly with voters at the doorstep and on the phone
– Ensure responsible and proper handling of voter data
– Provide regular reports to the Field Director
– Meet goals and complete tasks in a timely and accurate manner
– Occasionally help Field Director organize Super Saturdays (canvassing events), phone
banks, various campaign events, and other activist events.
– Additional duties as requested by WSRP Field Director

We’re seeking a Finance/Development Intern who is ready to take their next step in their career. You should be comfortable with CRMs and excel spreadsheets. You should be a rock star at finding information online so quickly that our heads will spin.
You will assist and lead on donor relation and research efforts, writing, crafting creative concepts for all fundraising related projects, event organization and execution, project management, research, donor list creation, and more.

We are seeking a grassroots intern that is interested in learning about the core processes of a non-profit’s field operations. You should have strong organizational skills and an unmatched work ethic. You should want to learn more about event planning, logistics, and grassroots organizing.
You should excel at finding information online quickly and an understanding of state and local policy issues is helpful, but not necessarily required. Creativity, however, is a must.
