Position Summary:

The Finance Assistant works with the Executive Director to implement and improve the Party’s comprehensive fundraising program each year. The Finance Assistant and Executive Director work as a team to support the State Party Chairman.

Responsibilities include:

The major elements the Finance Assistant participates in are:

A. Major Donor Research

The Finance Assistant helps with the execution of the Party’s Major Donor Program by assisting with the following:

• Creating and updating major donor call sheets.

• Identifying major donor prospects.

• Coordinating follow-up calls, letters, and meetings.

• Printing and sending major donor thank you notes.

• Updating major donor membership packets.

B. Annual Events

Annual Fundraising Dinner

The Finance Assistant helps recruit Annual Dinner attendees by soliciting prospective table captains and following up with prospective attendees who have received invitations in the mail.

In addition to recruitment, the Finance Assistant will act as the volunteer coordinator for the event. In the weeks leading up to the dinner, the Finance Assistant’s primary objective is to recruit stellar volunteers to help execute a successful fundraising event. On the day-of-event, the Finance Assistant will be responsible for:

• Assigning and explaining roles to volunteers and staff.

• Overseeing volunteers during setup and the event itself.

In addition to being the event Volunteer Coordinator, Finance Assistant will help the Executive Director with any additional day-of-event tasks.

Annual Legislative Reception

The Finance Assistant will assist in planning the Legislative Reception held during the legislative session in Olympia. This will include:

• Helping with event invitations.

• Creating the sponsorship slideshow for the event program.

• Coordinating registration on the day-of-event.

• Triannual State Committee Meetings

The Finance Assistant will work with the Director of Administrative Services to prepare for the Party’s triannual state committee meetings. This will include:

• Organizing event supplies.

• Printing materials and stuffing packets for members.

• Working the registration table on the day-of-event.

When necessary, the Finance Assistant will help the Executive Director create State Committee finance reports and plan presentations.

C. Digital Fundraising

The Finance Assistant will work with the Communications Director to execute the digital fundraising operation.

• Creating content for emails and social media

• Tracking and reporting online donations

D. Direct Mail and Telemarketing

The Finance Assist will work with the Executive Director to supervise the planning and execution of the Party’s Direct Mail and Telemarketing programs. This includes:

• Scheduling meetings with WSRP vendors

• Working with vendors to make sure we are executing our Direct Mail and Telemarketing plans

• Tracking the updated progress of our programs

E. Data Entry and Administration

The Finance Assistant will assist the Director of Administration in processing direct mail contributions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree

• At least one year of professional experience

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

• Organized and detail oriented

• Comfortable communicating with donors over the phone, and cold-calling

• Ability to work independently and manage own responsibilities

• Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to team meetings and ideas

• Experience in political or non-profit fundraising preferred, but not required

    Reports to: WSRP Political Director and WSRP Executive Director

    Position Summary:

    The Washington State Republican Party is seeking to hire Regional Field Directors to execute the WSRPs field strategy for the 2022 campaign cycle. Field staff play an important role in our strategic plan to elect Republicans at the state and federal levels in Washington State. Field staff are integral to the success of our grassroots teams.

    The Regional Field Directors will be staff members of the Washington State Republican Party whose focus will be on cultivating relationships with campaigns, stakeholders, and neighborhood teams in their targeted legislative districts. They will manage both paid staff and volunteer teams, execute the WSRP voter outreach plan for 2021 – 2022, and will act as a liaison between the WSRP and Republican campaigns. Regional Field Directors will receive intensive training from the WSRP staff on how to organize neighborhood teams, manage a localized voter outreach program, and how to execute a Get Out the Vote (GOTV) program to maximize Republican turnout.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Recruit, train, and coordinate activists/volunteers/paid canvassers in your region.
    • Foster continuing growth and activity in local grassroots teams and with local activist
    • Build relationships with stakeholders, volunteers, county party members, and campaigns
    • Track activity of grassroots teams 
    • Identify and engage directly with voters in targeted districts
    • Garner support for Republican candidates in your region
    • Ensure responsible and proper handling of voter data
    • Help organize Super Saturdays (canvassing events), phone banks, various campaign events, and other activist events
    • Provide regular reports to the Political Director
    • Meet goals and complete tasks in a timely and accurate manner
    • Coordinate and cooperate with Republican candidates and campaigns
    • Explore opportunities for engagement and cooperation with issue specific, ethnic, and religious coalition groups
    • Additional duties as requested by the Political Director

    • Strong social skills, positive attitude, and dedication to conservative causes
    • Ability to speak and teach to groups, host meetings
    • Ability to build and foster relationships with volunteers, county party members, and campaign staff
    • Measuring progression of tasks, designated goals

    • Creative problem solving
    •Proficiency in Word, Excel, and other basic computer skills
    • Ability to effectively communicate tasks to paid canvassers and unpaid staff
    • Passionate/Energetic, 
    • Must have reliable transportation
    • Able to work flexible hours, evenings and/or weekends.    • Strong data entry and management skills.  

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Bachelors Degree in Government, Political Science, Pre-Law, or other related field
    1-2 years of experience in campaigns or political organizing
