Position Summary:

The Washington State Republican Party is seeking to hire Regional Field Directors to execute the WSRPs field strategy for the 2022 campaign cycle. Field staff play an important role in our strategic plan to elect Republicans at the state and federal levels in Washington State. Field staff are integral to the success of our grassroots teams.

The Regional Field Directors will be staff members of the Washington State Republican Party whose focus will be on cultivating relationships with campaigns, stakeholders, and neighborhood teams in their targeted legislative districts. They will manage both paid staff and volunteer teams, execute the WSRP voter outreach plan for 2021 – 2022, and will act as a liaison between the WSRP and Republican campaigns. Regional Field Directors will receive intensive training from the WSRP staff on how to organize neighborhood teams, manage a localized voter outreach program, and how to execute a Get Out the Vote (GOTV) program to maximize Republican turnout.

Responsibilities include:

• Recruit, train, and coordinate activists/volunteers/paid canvassers in your region.
• Foster continuing growth and activity in local grassroots teams and with local activist
• Build relationships with stakeholders, volunteers, county party members, and campaigns
• Track activity of grassroots teams 
• Identify and engage directly with voters in targeted districts
• Garner support for Republican candidates in your region
• Ensure responsible and proper handling of voter data
• Help organize Super Saturdays (canvassing events), phone banks, various campaign events, and other activist events
• Provide regular reports to the Political Director
• Meet goals and complete tasks in a timely and accurate manner
• Coordinate and cooperate with Republican candidates and campaigns
• Explore opportunities for engagement and cooperation with issue specific, ethnic, and religious coalition groups
• Additional duties as requested by the Political Director

• Ability to speak and teach to groups, host meetings
• Ability to build and foster relationships with volunteers, county party members, and campaign staff
• Measuring progression of tasks, designated goals
Independent and self-motivated
• Creative problem solving
•Proficiency in Word, Excel, and other basic computer skills
• Ability to effectively communicate tasks to paid canvassers and unpaid staff
• Passionate/Energetic, 
• Must have reliable transportation
• Able to work flexible hours, evenings and/or weekends.    • Strong data entry and management skills.  

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Government, Political Science, Pre-Law, or other related field
1-2 years of experience in campaigns or political organizing
