| BELLEVUE – The Washington State Republican Party is calling for an immediate investigation following news of possible illegal electioneering activity posted by a Democratic candidate in the 42nd Legislative District. Chairman Heimlich said, “After becoming aware of the possible taxpayer-funded voter manipulation by United States Postal Service (USPS) workers, we are calling for an immediate investigation by the USPS Inspector General, as well as the Washington State Attorney General.” “The most urgent responsibility by our elected leaders is that they uphold free and fair elections, and anything less is unacceptable to the people of our great state. We must get to the bottom of this incident and identify and prosecute any criminal behavior so the people of Washington State remain confident in the fairness of our election system.” |
