BELLEVUE – Chairman Caleb Heimlich released the following statement after the Democrats began passing new taxes without a public budget.

“In typical Democrat fashion, the State Budget remains hidden to the public, but Democrats still moved forward with “hundreds of millions of dollars in tax increases,” voting late last night in attempt to hide their schemes from the public. The lack of transparency is insulting to the citizens of Washington State. 

“From independent contractors, to small businesses and hardworking taxpayers, Democrats have tried everything to quench their incessant thirst for tax increases and government regulation. To pass a budget in a shroud of darkness, excluding the people from the process in hopes it goes unnoticed, shines light on the arrogant and dismissive approach we have seen from Democrats – we can, and should, do better.”
